How to Mint an NFT on Blinkfire
Blinkfire supports minting NFTs for Image content on the platform. Currently all NFTs minted on Blinkfire are on the Polygon network and are minted to a single contract address.
Pre-Requisites
1. You must accept Blinkfire's Crypto & NFT TOS to use related products and services.
2. You must own the publishing account of the post you are interested in minting or else you will see a warning message like the below:
Step by Step Guide to Mint NFTs on Blinkfire
1. Click on "Connect Wallet to Mint NFT" button.
2. Select your Wallet provider. Currently Blinkfire supports MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet connections natively.
3a. Once you select your preferred wallet provider, you will have to select "Connect" to continue.
3b. Ensure your Wallet is on the Polygon network. Blinkfire will prompt you to switch to the Polygon network if your wallet is not already connected to Polygon. Select "Polygon" from the dropdown and select "Switch Network" to continue.
4. (Optional) Customize the Title & Description of your NFT. This is metadata for your NFT that will be stored on-chain using IPFS and will be tethered to the NFT you mint.
5. Click the "Mint NFT" button at the bottom of the window. At this stage your wallet will be asked to confirm the transaction. Confirm the transaction to proceed.
NOTE: Your wallet will need sufficient MATIC in order to mint the NFT. If you do not have MATIC in your wallet you can contact us or follow this guide on How to purchase MATIC.
6. Congrats you've minted your first NFT on Blinkfire! On success you will see a window like the below. At this stage you have two options: 1. View the transaction on the blockchain explorer 2. Head over to Blinkfire's NFT gallery. In the NFT gallery you can re-connect your same wallet and view all the NFTs you've minted to that connected wallet on Blinkfire!
7. View Blinkfire's NFT Gallery. In this gallery you will see all the NFTs you've minted on Blinkfire to the wallet you have connected. It may take several minutes after your transaction for the blockchain to sync and display your NFTs properly in this view, if you have any questions please reach out to us.
