Strength Meter
Blinkfire's Strength Meter predicts the visibility of a brand's logo based on the platform/device: desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile. Each network has a different device distribution based on how their users are consuming their content. Then based on he network and brand spotted, we use the network specific device distribution to attribute value.
Strength Meter - Brand Visibility
In this Instagram post from Real Madrid, Emirates on the uniform would be visible on all platforms and devices except mobile.
In this Twitter post from Champions League, Pepsi would be visible on all devices.
Strength Meter - Brand Valuation
In Inventory Valuation, you have the option to "Use Strength Meter by Device". In order to show the difference in valuation between Strength Meter turned on versus Strength Meter turned off, we will use this Real Madrid post as an example.
Strength Meter - Turned On
Under Images in Inventory Valuation, turn Strength Meter on and press the Save button.
When this is selected, a brand receives a proportional amount of value in a post based on its visibility across all applicable devices coupled with device viewership data.
Emirates is visible in three out of the four devices in this Real Madrid post. Using the Strength Meter device distribution and valuation, Emirates would earn $42,797.04 in media value. Note: Since mobile holds a large viewership device distribution, it drives a greater amount of value. Since Emirates in this post would not be visible on a mobile device (via Strength Meter), it affects the value.
Strength Meter - Turned Off
Under Images in Inventory Valuation, turn Strength Meter off and press the Save button. By turning Strength Meter off, the variable valuation factors will not be applied, but you will still be able to see if a brand's logo is visible on which devices.
Using the same Real Madrid post and with the Strength Meter turned off, Emirates is visible on three devices. The brand's earned media value is $213,985.20 (engagements x Instagram baseline CPE of $.60).
